It's actually pretty common from the people I know.

My girlfriend, who is in customer service in the company she works for, received an $8.5K bonus in December as part of the company's profit sharing plan. She also received a total of $11.2K throughout the year in quarterly bonuses/profit sharing distributions.

I know quite a few people that have similar situations.

I actually believe too many people are granted the right to vote; or said another way, the votes are inequitably distributed. The person who gets EITC has the same vote as the person giving up the money to pay those EITC. Something seems a bit off there, no.

How about this one, the renter has the same vote as the guy who owns the mansion, ordinarily this wouldn't be a problem except when it comes time to vote for property tax increases, the two will pay disproportionately despite the increase.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining. I pay to fund schools that my kids DON'T go to. I'm paying for everyone else's kids! But it's okay. I do wish though that people would stop ripping others for not paying their fair share, when this is a canard at best.
