There's no proof these cars are orphans. Nor is there any proof they're unloved.

And even if someone presents strong proof to me, I'll deny it and I'll continue to wail about lack of proof.

The Pacer, Javelin, Rebel, Gremlin all made me PUKE on first sight, had to take medicine to get over it but, this mid engine thing is beautiful! I wonder who Rambler had build it for them?

are you sayin' that youre a 'poser'? because real 'drivers' require function over fashion and curvy roads instead of straight lines to make it challenging and more fun/exciting.

somebody needs an AMC history lesson:

"American Motors Corporation (AMC) was an American automobile company formed by the 1954 merger of Nash-Kelvinator Corporation and Hudson Motor Car Company. At the time, it was the largest corporate merger in U.S. history."

some AMC guys like drag strips though, this guys Gremlin-X makes quite the fashion statement.

Re: The orphaned cars nobody loves.
Loves me the so-called orphans, they have street freak written all over them. applause A big block, 4 speed and a set of tubs with the biggest meats you can stuff in there and you're good to go. And if you like 'em stock the Studebaker Avanti with the R3 289 is still on my bucket list of cars to own after 56 years.

169 at Bonneville factory equipped with a hot tune on it, not to shabby for the day.
