The smartphone era will end
All products have a lifecycle, the smartphone has one as well..

So, what is the next best thing??

Consumer electronics is going to crash at some point... There is only so many things a smartphone can do!

Yep. It will end up in our butts in the form of chips or as a tattoo on our hands somewhere.

Dude, 8 track sucked ass. I freaking hated pulling tape out of the player all the time. Only eight songs too. And the freaking dragging. Pay phones sucked too, they were never around when you actually needed one and cost a fortune to call down the road and always having to buy shit to get change to use the thing. I think the flip phone was a good stopping point.

Those inconveniences, are what matters. You only carried the 8 tracks that really mattered. Steve Jobbers holds up some chunk of metal and magic and says "It's a thousand songs, in your pocket." ..And yet, did it improve music? Apple(tm) may have begun as some hardware in a garage, but they became shitsoftware vendor prime.

And the shit software vendors, have to now make shithardware, as does apple and amazon, their gear is not the same, they don't stick to form factor, they literally run ten steps ahead of Americans and try to juke us, like we are chasing a spy or something, Amazon does right turns and drops of secret packages to Apple and Microshits, these corporations hate our guts.

You mention also pay phones, and I always marvel at the convenience of coins, and yet how dumbfucks whine about coins. Literally if your civilization achieves coin operation tech, that is the pinnacle. After that, paper money and loss of all benefits is the way, unless you adhere to coin op modality as a way of life.

VIDEO ARCADE FOREVER but this time let's evict the drug dealing scumbags from the video arcades, as they really infested these back in the 190s.

Oh, I forgot you had to flip the tape over after four songs to hear the other four. You're pager goes off and you frantically try to find a pay phone just to hear you're asshole friend or family member say so what's up? GOOD RIDDENS!

I actually had to buy a Trafone to fill in due to the outside telephone service box wiring degraded that runs to the inside jack, it had been since late ending of the 70's or 1981-2019.
I bought the flip phone since I did not need it for web use.

Technology as a weapon is used to infiltrate the unsophisticated mind. Notice I said "not sophisticated" which refers to words, rhetoric, complexity. She's not stupid, none of these slabbers are actually stupid, they are just gullible and desirous of newness.

Tell her that phone is breakfast cereal and she is a child that cannot stop eating it. See if she gets upset or not. Try to use analogies that explain to her what has been done to her, and through what doors it was done.

Did love the arcades. If you're good, you could play all day on a quarter. Then listen to "slow ride" while easin' back to the pad, well until the SOB starts skipping or dragging or gets eaten. peace

By simple means of explanation, i got my lady to drop "schmartfone" and also Facebook. Talking and explaining how technology ruins families and makes fake friendships, helps a lot if done out of love, and a desire for a better friendship between you both.
