Food supply is collapsing because our Eco system which we are dependent upon is collapsing. Think about about why insects are vanishing at a rapid rate. They are at the bottom of the food chain and they are going extinct. There will be no more insects around by 2043 at the rate they are currently vanishing. Insects are the canary in the coal mine.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Vegans are malnourished, scrawny, sickly, weak, emaciated, rotting teeth, mental issues....you cannot find a healthy, even healthy looking vegan who's been a vegan for more than a couple of years...after the initial honeymoon, Vegan's health declines fast.....women not being able to ovulate should be a bit of a clue.

Most people if they are going to go meatless go the Vegetarian route rather than the extreme vegan route which swears off all animal by products including milk and eggs.

Booker told the vegan magazine VegNews earlier this month that he became vegan after coming to the realization that eating eggs “didn’t align with my spirit.”

Very dangerous words to use. This makes it sound like a religious experience and an attempt to use legislation to foist his religion on the rest of the populace, which is forbidden by the First Amendment.

Pushing veganism could become what ultimately destroys the Dem party. I doubt that even illegal aliens want to give up eating meat, eggs, and dairy. They came to the USA to live a higher lifestyle, not a lower one. Go ahead Booker, try to tell them they can't have steak fajitas anymore.

Oddly enough, it's things like this that tend to be the line-in-the-sand issue with most people. They'll give up rights and freedoms, but they won't give up their meat and cheese.

Vegetarian can work, if you eat dairy, eggs, fish...etc...Veganism isn't healthy for 99% of people.....

I bet most vegans cheat every now and then otherwise they would be unhealthy and go nuts from such a restrictive diet.

If the so called vegan celebrity is still healthy and sane after years of being on a restrictive vegan diet than yes I would say they are cheating by eating animal by products like cheese or eggs or even eating fish. I can understand some people not wanting to eat animals for ethical reasons but you are not hurting animals eating cheese or eggs or drinking the milk they are producing. In fact cows are happy you milk them as it is relief to get rid of the milk.

As a pescatarian, who also eats organ meats and eggs, I agree with you wholeheartedly on fish, especially oily fish.

I did a lot of research on this and was able to find a link between IQ and fish-eating. The countries where people have the highest average IQs have a long history of eating the most fish (e.g. Scandinavians and Japanese).

Organ meats, like liver and sweetbreads, are incredibly nutritious as well, and long ago, used to be reserved for the higher-ranking members of tribes and kingdoms.

Regarding poultry, dark meat is actually much healthier and more nutritious than white meat, despite what we've been told. And eggs are a very high-quality protein.

Boom! Fish while its still available. I eat just about anything, everything in moderation. But never fast foods or packaged foods. No processed sugars, and your miles ahead of most. If you can get that far, then your taste buds change and you quit eating so much for pleasure and more for good fuel. Then you've gotten somewhere. Much appreciate all your post on here BirdMom!

Woman who's been dabbling in vegan for many years, here to discuss my experiences with it.

I can't eat the vegan manner for more that about a week or two before I need to have some form of animal product, usually organic dairy yogurt (or eggs, fish, etc.), and then I feel more back to normal again. How do I know this? Usually, I'll feel tired, completely unsatisfied by vegan foods, get cravings for animal products, lack of energy...but after eating some animal product, I'm back to feeling energetic, my normal self, ready to go, lol.

That said, I cannot consume animal products everyday. I feel sick when I do that - constipation, lack of energy, my face and skin looks less beautiful and young-looking, etc. I became plant-based because it greatly improved my health, and I continue to eat this way, and will always eat this way (Atkins was my turning point when I was 17 - made me very ill and turned me to vegetarianism).

Everyone is different and should eat what works for their body. However, I totally understand the issues with factory farming, and how a great amount of the plant-based foods that could be supplied to humans is instead feeding the animals that we eat...it's not going to keep working as the world's population increases...something's got to give on this...

But I am extremely wary of any government suggesting or forcing their population to be plant-based (while they, of course, eat all the steak they want)...isn't this what eventually happens anyway in a socialist or communist takeover, because of everyone being equally poor (again, except the elite)?
