Thus i couldn't even download a 2TB file even if i wanted to.

current wait time has now increased to nearly 9 days.

Leave it running for 12 hours or so, once a decent seeder comes online it'll fly

I have an 100kb download on 14.4 modem still going, on my c64 modem, that has been going since 1994. I used zmodem for the reliability of the connection. I feel zmodem to be the modem protocol of the kings of this age.

I've done some calculation.

If i was downloading a 97 GB file back in the late 90s on my 56k modem with its average actual download speed as i remember abou 2.5Kb/s (about 40kbit) if i could have somehow left the internet on 24/7 it would have taken 17 months to download and cost around £7,000 considering a very cheap connection of 1p per minute.
