No-Knock Houston Raid Inventory Raises Questions after 2 Killed, 4 Wounded
The Houston Police Department has released the inventory of items seized during the execution of the no-knock raid where 59-year-old Dennis Tuttle and his wife, 58-year-old Rhogena Nicholas were shot and killed. The raid occurred on January 28, 2019.

The married couple of 20 years died in a gun battle with police where four officers were wounded, and one was injured while taking cover.

The couple had no criminal records. They had occupied the house for 20 years. Rhogena was as a supporter of President Trump. Dennis was a Navy veteran.

The gun battle started when the police broke down their door and shot their dog. The wife, Rhogena, was unarmed when killed. Police claim she was going for a shotgun held by a wounded officer.

There were no body cameras worn on the raid. Neighbor's surveillance video was taken by the police.

The .357 revolver supposedly used to shoot the police is missing from the inventory of items seized during the raid.
This raises questions as to whether there was any pistol in the home that was raided.

WHAT ...

No police person on the raid had a DROP WEAPON in a baggie that they could plant at the scene?

POOR police planning is what this shows!!!

Obviously the Prior Agreed Story was that the killed perp would have a 357 that they were using against the police!!

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS make sure that that the PO who was to carry in the DROP WEAPON actually IS carrying a DROP WEAPON when making any raid!! Obviously their pre-raid checklist needs to be updated to make sure that this mistake is not made again.

The pistol may be hiding in case a future shooting requires a dead victim to have been aiming a weapon at the police. wink...wink.

"Relied on an unreliable informant". More like screwed the pooch, bad. They had the wrong address on the warrant, and nobody bothered double checking until it was too late. Now they're trying to pass the buck to some convenient anonymous source so they can claim they did everything right.

My money is on the fact that they didn't even find cocaine or marijuana. Houston cops are known to carry drugs to plant on their victims to justify when things go south.

Meanwhile, as it stands today, if you don't want to be an "ambushing cop killer", then if someone busts down your door in the middle of the night and starts executing your pets and family, you have a duty to ask if they are doing so as part of an official government authorized law enforcement activity.

A better question is did they really have drugs in the home? We have reached a point where the "authorities" should no longer be given the benefit of the doubt. Corruption is everywhere. It's possible that drugs were planted on the scene to cover up this murderous raid.

I remember a time when police had to serve a warrant to enter a home. The requirement to serve a warrant prevented needlessly shooting the dogs. It also prevented situations where innocent people reach for their weapons because they think a burglar is in their house - such situations often result in innocent people being shot.

There is simply no excuse for no-knock raids. They are incompatible with our right to defend ourselves.

The proper protocol for engaging a murderer who kicks in your door and executes your pets and family:

"Excuse me, my good sir, but you wouldn't happen to be a plain clothes officer of the law executing a no knock warrant, would you?"

"No"

"And do you happen to be carrying a weapon?"

"Yes"

"And is it a weapon capable of deadly force?"

"Yes"

"And do you intend to use that weapon to harm me in the immediate future"

"Yes"

"Very well. Please remain still while I administer the minimum necessary force to neutralize your threat.

I have a lot of close friends who are ex police and sheriff's deputies. Shit like this is exactly why they're "ex". Actual law enforcement is low on their list of priorities. Number one is collect revenue though petty code enforcement, and number two is do as little as possible to minimize risk.

LEO's used to know who they worked for. Everything has turned upside down since 9/11.
