Actually, ice age doesn't mean colder, it means wetter. South America has lost over several million head of livestock to flooding and suffocation from deep snow. It's been going on for 3 years. Even Texas severe drought has a water surplus now. Three different recurring ice ages all are due now. 250,000 year cycle. 17,000 year cycle and a mini ice age that comes every 300 years. You know about the last one that hit Europe in the 1700s.

Looks like a great place to put a dam.

This will be interesting to see if other areas on earth that have previously had river flows have water return like this.

My guess is yes. The Earth never lost its continually dynamic ability to destruct naturally then reform into new landscapes.

To be more accurate, you might want to supply the full picture when explaining. 'Ice Age = a time period beginning with extreme weather irregularities followed by a period of colder than normal weather which can last decades'

And during the colder than normal period there is significantly less precipitation.

Technically the planet has been in an "Ice Age" for 2 million years. The glacial cycle has a period of about 110,000 years, with cold glacial periods lasting 90,000 to 100,000 years and warm interglacial periods lasting 10,000 to 20,000 years.

Both glacial and interglacial periods experience relatively brief episodes of warmer and colder temperatures. In historical times we've experienced the Roman warm period, the dark ages cooling, the medieval warm period, the little ice age, and the current warm period.

We've been in an interglacial period for 15,000 years so it should be ending soon. Any greenhouse effect caused by anthropogenic emissions is just postponing the inevitable.
