The real "gatekeeper" to the masses is the seemingly permanent indentured servitude status you'll gain when you get, or unable to get a higher education. If you do get your higher education and are extraordinarily lucky to land a job in your trained field before it's inevitably permanently shipped overseas it will still take decades of your life to pay back your soul crushing student loan debt.

Took out a loan from the bank, got my truck set up and tools got set up with online advertising, the whole works.

Guess how many calls I got in a three month period for services?

Auto mechanic is my trade by the way.

As busy as every shop is in town I figured affordable auto repair from a mobile mechanic cutting out the cost of overhead and providing people a personal approach to fixing their cars would catch on, but it didn't.

I lost everything trying to start a business and so do millions of others out there all the time.

Some folks get lucky and are able to make a good successful business, but for every jeff bezos there are millions of me's who fail and have to go back to the slave jobs.


Furthermore as an ASE mechanic with tools and 10 years experience I get offered 10-12 dollars an hour at most every job I apply to.

And that is why it was called "minimum wage", not living wage

It’s livable, even in cities with expensive housing costs. BUT you have two jobs. Either one person working 2 jobs. Or 2 people working 1 each.

It’s hard. It’s draining. Its not rewarding. It’s work. So people don’t do it.

Housing cost was the worst for me. But if you want to have your own little space, and you don’t have skills, you work for it.

Now if we get all the illegals out of the apartment complexes, they wouldn’t be so fucking filthy and dreadful to live in. And there would be more lower wage jobs if someone is willing to make ends meet.

Good luck finding a position thats going to pay higher than minimum wage now at 17 years of age.


Companies have learned that they dont have to pay higher than minimum wage because if they cant find someone locally who is desperate enough, they'll simply outscource to overseas for a lot cheaper.
