I would simply have 1 law for businesses that would fix most everything. No one business entity is allowed to employee more than 100 people. There would be so many more local businesses and it would break up the huge conglomerates. Then the mom and pop shops could provide better product and have local employees who would be paid fairly. Most people want to pay their employees a fair wage, it's only the multinational mulitbillion dollar companies that employee the slaves. Unfortunately you cant' compete with these monsters which was also a huge downfall of our country. |

The amount of work or money it would take to completely robotize the lower rung of American workers would be immediately offset by the salary cutbacks that would happen by letting these people go. The corporations are throwing these people a bone by not making McDonald's completely humanless. Having worked there almost 13 years ago I can tell you that there is very little "work" that is actually done. Everything is divided and on timers. To think a machine couldn't do everything a person in doing in those thousands of restaurants across the country and that those workers are lucky to be paid anything close to 7.50 for remembering to wash their hands after shitting and taking a frozen meat Patty from a box to a surface, putting something on top of it pushing a button, lifting the thing and putting the now cooked meat Patty in with other cooked meat patties is mind boggling.
