Samuel Colt User ID: 77382373 United States 02/17/2019 01:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I had ants living under the slab and that is where they wintered over. These are very small ants. Unless the winter is very cold they usually show up in early Feb. Quoting: Ascension Now I read that you have it kill the queen, and my 42 years of any control, did not do that. I mixed 1/2 cup of sugar with one tablespoon of borax. I sprayed this on a cotton ball and the ants loved it. They take the poison back to the queen ant. In the summer I only found one large group of ants with eggs. I killed them with soapy water. This Feb. I have had no ants come into the house from under the slab. If you have this problem use this method to kill the queen. Samuel Colt |

Its main ingredient is Borax and the ants take it back to the nest where it wipes them all out. After using this two years ago, I still don’t have any more ants in the house. |

Ascension Now (OP) User ID: 77233889 United States 02/20/2019 11:12 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The ants have not surfaced this winter. In the past it has always happened by this time of the month. My borax/sugar poison killed the ants and the queen so that there will not be anymore after seeing them for 43 years. I had been unable to kill the queen and killing a lot of the ants did not work. If you have pets or little kids you have to keep that in mind in using this method. Ascension |

I put the cotton ball on a small square of aluminum foil and the ants will communicate the location of it. Every day I used a new cotton ball as it dries into a head mass. I noticed fewer ants every day. Taking the poison to the queen was the whole point. I think the ants live only 6-8 weeks. No queen, no eggs, no new ants. My 42 years of killing the ants never did much as there were always new ones to replace them. I have used chips on the floor and that attracted a lot of ants but then all that I could do was to kill them. Never touched he'd the queen. Ascension |

This combo is sold in squeeze bottles to puff into the cracks of foundations - hold you breath and do not breathe it in... Harmless to humans and pets Boric acid at drug store or WalMart in bottles - about $6 Save-a Lot had a big bottle to squeeze mixed with stuff to attract ants for $2.50 |

Ascension Now (OP) User ID: 77233889 United States 02/21/2019 03:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I use dish soap in water. Just little works but bigger ants or bees needs a stronger concentration. Use a spray bottle. Gas can be fun on ants but more dangerous. Yellow jackets have nests in the ground and I have used gas on them. Do not have to light it and some would object to the fire part. Ascension |
