The reason why God Jesus hated Esau. Probably a lot of people in this same case.
It must have been oral history but eventually became written history in the book of Hebrews:

Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
Hebrews 12:15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
Hebrews 12:16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
Hebrews 12:17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

"When it says he sought it, it means he sought repentance. He couldn’t find it. He was no longer capable of repenting. It’s not that he repented and repented and cried over his repentance, and God wouldn’t forgive him. No
...
He could not repent."
Quote from an article at www.desiringgod.org

So what does this mean? It means that he justified his actions, like Adam and Eve, but was unable to find remorse or strength to admit fault, apologize and ask for forgiveness. That order of things ought to lead one to be careful not to make the same mistake next time, while some may be able to apologize but still have no remorse, still feel justified, and still have no intent to change.

When was the last time you apologized? (I guess you're pretty well righteous then not needing to apologize!?)

I met a fellow believer who could not receive forgiveness of sins and this is the information Jesus led me to when I could not figure out why after covering the other possibilities.

Repentance must be heartfelt!

I doubt most people could measure up to your level of self-righteousness and condescension. lol! Some Christians wonder why people don't like them and just continue to be total assholes.

The word you are looking for is shaming, not condescension. But if you look in the thread The Power of I'm Sorry, which relates to this topic, you will find people justifying not apologizing. You see if believers actually repented you would notice that they're changed people. Some Christians refer to their "oId self" or in the bible the "old man". I notice a different me today than 5 years ago when I was not a Christian. So my faith has helped change me, it is not just a scope of things to believe and answer with when someone asks about my belief.

And you don't really know me to call me righteous or self righteous, but you are entitled to justifying your action based on your opinion; thank you for beibg a perfect example of this topic. As for the 1 star, what exactly about the subject is BS?

Hebrews is a letter written to the Jews (Hebrews). While Paul is often mentioned as the author, the letter itself does not mention the author, and Biblical scholars have suggested a number of people who could have written it.

I agree with you OP. Forgiveness first requires repentance. But once a truly repentant person asks for forgiveness, then Christians do have a duty to forgive, put it in the past and move on. On earth as in Heaven.

Ah yes thank you. My brother has not pleaded for my forgiveness, although I already did and never needed to when he recently abused me. The Lord told me and I said to him "Esau have I hated". He doesn't care one way or another, there is no true repentance in his soul, this I now know about him thanks to the bible and your input.

People who cannot repent will justify everything they do and will never apologize. Again, even if they apologize it's because it is a social etiquette for them, they don't feel it, don't like it, and don't mean it, no matter how convincing they seem. If they are sincere you will only know later because they will have changed for the better.

Your reasoning is flawed, because you're only looking at one scripture reference. What about Romans chapter 9? It says that God already decided before Esau was born, or had done anything good or evil, that he hated Esau, but loved Jacob. The "it" that you're referring to in Hebrews was the blessing that came with his birthright, which he sold to Jacob and couldn't get back, even though he was remorseful.

Esau valued material goods, in this case a bowl of weed soup, more than he did spiritual things and the rewards he would receive later on.

We sell out for a bowl of weed soup every day. Each and every one of us.

It doesn't say that God Jesus decided to hate Esau before he was born. Jesus does not hold our future against us. That is why he can forgive sin that has occurred, and impute sin when it occurs.

Consider Judas. Consider that people who believe are only drawn to the faith by the Holy Spirit as a direct call. Now, he is calling people who he knows have a chance to make it. Yet consider Judas. Jesus calls people who he knows will turn on him. Or let me say it like this, he calls people TO turn on him. He calls people who seemingly have no business being called, who seemingly ought to be left alone in the world, to enjoy their life as an unbeliever before they perish anyway. I can't quite grasp it anymore what I had grasped regarding this fact that he calls people to faith who he knows will reject him. Yes, why call people who you know are going to reject you, like they are absolutely destined to reject him, why not only call people who will believe and have a good chance to pass the final judgment? Why call Judas? Why call Esau? But he calls them for his purposes.
Sorry for the rant.

Jesus Christ has more control in the world than Satan. He hated him that he wasn't mindful of the things of God. That shows unbelief as well. And guess what it's really hard to do with unbelief? REPENT!

Wrong

Esau married 2 Canaanite women.

Isaac, his father specifically told Jacob not to do the same.
This is why Esau lost his birthright.

And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan.

Well disobeying the will of God Jesus sure had a part to play in it. But he had a backup plan by Jacob. But would Jesus hate you if you repented? No. The issue therefore is repentance, not in screwing up (you really can't screw up God's plan, he's never caught off guard).

Christianity was already spread the world over centuries ago. That mission is accomplished. Those places that don't practice or accept it are under the curse from having rejected it. It is not that those places will repent but that the souls living in those places might. So the people were cursed by their ancestors who rejected Christia it and the proof that Jesus is the living God by miracles.

Jesus keeps the balance between good and evil in the world. He wants everyone to live in peace even if they will end up in hell, even if they will perish, so he does care about how people live. He also proved himself to be God and declared that anyobe who does not believe in him will perish. He also said that everyone who is called he will not lose 1. Since he not only decides where souls are born but can do practically anything there is no need to worry that someone who should have heard of Jesus didn't. He knows whose hearts are for him and he respects the wills of his creations, but he alone is Sovereign.
Jesus Christ is God. Read the Holy Bible, keep his commandments, obey all of his commands, save your soul.
