I just happened to get one when I was working in a Steak House in Omaha when I was 14. Quoting: Burnt around the edges I loved it! I actually won bets by eating a raw steak,(not the bone), with a glass of water. Usually it was a Ribeye, or New York cut and it was good, but I actually prefer my steak seared 30 seconds on each side. to me this is heaven. My problem lately, other than eat at home, is to get a Steak House to prepare my Steak like this. I Know, I Know, Medical science says it is detrimental to my health, but I have been eating Steak like this for over 40 years, no problems. The Cooks, and sometimes The Chef, refuses to do it unless he comes to the table and I ask for it directly. Lately that is not working. Does anybody else eat your steaks, Not Hamburger, prepared like this? Just a comment. Restaurants can not serve steak blood rare due to health dept regulations. Must be cooked to certain temperature for saftey of patrons. If you want a steak prepared blood rare you must cook at home. |
