Steven Seagal's fighting skills are LEGIT

This is an exhibition to show technique(s) and execution, not a tournament or MMA fight. The executioner and the opponents show specific skill(s) when different types of attacks are executed and experienced. Martial arts is more than fighting.

Looks like a choreographed WWF audition.

I don't think Steven's skills were ever up for debate, however though, he is knocking on in age and obviously isn't in his prime anymore. But still, Seagal I am sure could handle most if not all aggressive situations should be find himself in them in the real world.

Bruce Lee vs Connor McGregor (or Anderson Silva in his younger days) with MMA rules would be such a fun fight to watch.

Of course they are. He just can't use them to fight weight gain...

But, as somebody who has been thrown by an Aikido practitioner, it’s no joke.

Certainly has its flaws, not training “at full speed/full contact” for the majority of people who do it, being the biggest.

All choreographed. Watch Seagal. He points or gestures where he wants the guy to "attack".
Basically he is like a trained dancer. Going through the rehearsed motions.

Lol choreographed stupidity... grossly obese guy who can't touch his own feet stands there and waits a for someone to put their arm out for him to grab then they proceed to do a midair cartwheel, barrel roll or summersault.

Amazing athlete he is indeed.

Maybe the guy not fighting back will join the "Me too" group.

My late brother spent many years as an Aikido practitioner.

While the Seagal demonstration is mostly crap, the fighting style can be extremely
brutal and effective, particularly WHEN COMBINED WITH OTHER TECHNIQUES.

Loads of police study Aikido to learn balance, use of an opponents mass, different
methods of restraint, and to bring about compliance.

That said, with the rise in popularity of grappling, BJJ and MMA, one better have
a lot more skills to draw on than just Aikido if you are regularly in situations
where furniture is getting moved around.

As for me, I chose Kali and Muey Thai, both of which can be brutal.

Still, I would really rather not go head to head with someone who has their ground
game well honed.

Tony Ferguson vs Chuck Norris in his prime would be interesting, but honestly, Norris would beat him pretty soundly. He outweighs him by 30-40 pounds, and Norris did a lot of full contact. I know the Chuck Norris jokes, but I dont think people realize how good he was.

But against Norris and Seagall (both in their prime) together?

Very few people on the planet, regardless of size and ability, would stand a chance.

Traditional Aikido has no offensive moves.
