Hands down ... Clerks.

Why? I don't see anything great about it.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76453146

Of course you don’t

What do you think is great about it?

Watch the making of it, it's an awesome success story of some young kids trying to live their dream of making movies. Seeing how the movie was made really made me appreciate the movie on a whole other level. Shoe string budget. Kinda like Napoleon Dynamite, but even more shoe string. Even the "black and white" filming was done for a very specific purpose that had nothing to do with being "artsy".

Kinda like reading the book "The Disaster Artist" made me have a whole new understanding of why "The Room" was so interesting of a movie. The behind the scenes was more fucked up then the movie.

Re: What's the greatest Generation X movie?
Fight Club, or Clerks. I have to say it's a tie for those two. Loved them both. But if you had to pick one that sums everything up the most it is Fight Club, we are fed a pack of lies to prop up the existing system and perpetuate it so that the next generation y "Y did your mother not swallow?" can join up with the fake reality. Baby boomers 25% Gen X 12% Generation Cupcake 25%. TPTB know where the bread is buttered and us Gen X do not matter, not that it really mattered because we learned that the system was rigged early on. I think that Cupcake is the best name because cupcakes are all kinda pretty, kinda sweet, but serve no real purpose whatsoever to your daily life. Yes I stole that from Cam Edwards.
