Once hailed as unhackable, blockchains are now getting hacked
More and more security holes are appearing in cryptocurrency and smart contract platforms, and some are fundamental to the way they were built.

It is just you who did not know details about blockchains.

If you are into a chain which use a hash-function that is the same as a much larger chain, it can be overtaken at any minute.

It is no news, and you are at fault here by mudding the waters.
No one has hacked a leading hash-function chain.
No one has ever claimed that a non-leading hash-function chain is safe.

You can't mix the two and pretend it is the same.

LOL.
"Hacked."

My fuckin ass 2 billion got hacked. The crypto currencies themselves arent getting hacked (minus Ethereum Classic) it's the normal internet websites, such as scam sites and exchanges that are getting hacked.

Flat out, do not leave a large sum of crypto on exchanges. Period. Ever. End of story. If you leave them on the exchange, you do not have control of the private key. It's essentially like leaving shit load of cash with someone who you dont really know, but consider a friend, whom you think will always keep your money safe for you.

"Not your keys, not your crypto."

And Ethereum Classic is a shitcoin. It's a left over fork from the orginal Ethereum chain, with next to no development on it. Been that way for years. That was asking to happen.

Re: Once hailed as unhackable, blockchains are now getting hacked
That is because you have the CIA/FBI/NSA and security agencies from dozens of other countries, that infiltrate projects like blochchain, to introduce weaknesses into the coding that can then be later exploited.

If anyone is actually starting an "unhackable" project, they need to screen out psychopaths, sociopaths and narcissists(who will create backdoors for their own lulz), and government agents, be they foreign or domestic.

One good way, is to sleep deprive the candidate, then get them good and drunk/intoxicated to the point they are sh!tfaced. Then ask them questions about their life, and stuff to probe for inconsistency's(to see if their cover is fake). Then, also ask what they think of backdoors, and so on, to get rid of jerk hackers trying to mess with your product for lulz.

It's probably true. What isn't true at all about this statement as it relates to blockchain is that in order to maliciously effect any blockchain network, one would need to simultaneously hack the hard drive of EVERY SINGLE node (computer) participating in the network. It's just not possible, sorry.

You're an idiot. Those arent "hacks." Lol. Those are attacks.

Only shit projects like Verge, projects that are flat out scams, exchanges, and abandoned projects get "hacked."

Bitcoin is constantly being attacked. Hell, Bitmain controlled more than 60% of the hash power during the 2017 bull run. And nothing happened. So fuck your 51% attack "hack" bullshit.

There is one thing that happened when that run to 20k happened. It proved how resilient Bitcoin is. Sure, the transaction fees skyrocketed and backlogs happened. But it is getting fixed. That's one thing I cant stand about people that dont believe in this tech... they think cryptos are like money and cant be adaptable. The fundamentals of Bitcoin cannot be changed. But it can be upgraded as long as a majority of nodes reach consensus.

Send me an invite to your Github and we can talk. Let me see your programming skills. Lemme see what you've done. Till then, shut up, learn about it and dont provide a links to something you obviously have zero knowledge over.

bitcoin blockchain has never been hacked.

what's hacked is the entry and exit points which are managed by sysadmins.

Bitcoin was not hacked.

ETC was, 51% attacks are frequent, doesn't mean blockchains are "hacked"

but some people don't understand what a blockchain is, and fail to see how they can help the world

That being said, I do not understand those against Bitcoin and yet for banks who rake in billions in profit each quarter and make or break countries.

Enjoy your bankers paradise
