Y what is on top of the blockchain. To say blockchain is hacked is like saying my engine is bad because somebody broke the headlight. FAIL! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 77384446 Sweden 02/21/2019 02:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No, that was the noobs. Those that know how stuff works, knew that all ETC was only living on grace. It comes as no surprise and was totally expected. So, problem is that OP has been listening to amateurs and thus thinks he knows anything. If you guys want to understand look at this (the hash algorithm column) [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] Some of them use the same and there lies the danger. Anyone that uses a hash function which is used by another larger chain are not safe. This is no news. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77390332 If anyone is actually starting an "unhackable" project, they need to screen out psychopaths, sociopaths and narcissists(who will create backdoors for their own lulz), and government agents, be they foreign or domestic. One good way, is to sleep deprive the candidate, then get them good and drunk/intoxicated to the point they are sh!tfaced. Then ask them questions about their life, and stuff to probe for inconsistency's(to see if their cover is fake). Then, also ask what they think of backdoors, and so on, to get rid of jerk hackers trying to mess with your product for lulz. same people behind global human trafficking and drugs now found a new scam? “the devil is a foe to the blood” Prof. Minor |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 75921239 United States 02/21/2019 02:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It is just you who did not know details about blockchains. Quoting: artMan If you are into a chain which use a hash-function that is the same as a much larger chain, it can be overtaken at any minute. It is no news, and you are at fault here by mudding the waters. No one has hacked a leading hash-function chain. No one has ever claimed that a non-leading hash-function chain is safe. You can't mix the two and pretend it is the same. |

Fluffy Pancakes User ID: 77376617 United States 02/21/2019 03:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's probably true. What isn't true at all about this statement as it relates to blockchain is that in order to maliciously effect any blockchain network, one would need to simultaneously hack the hard drive of EVERY SINGLE node (computer) participating in the network. It's just not possible, sorry. Sorry, my bad. I just did a fly by and was thinking it was individual blocks hacked. Things are bad enough, there is no need to make anything up. ~Fluffy "Never interrupt an enemy in the process of destroying himself." Quercitin and zinc...Get it. Take it.
