I take my 1mg and break them in four pieces and take as needed. I went from 3mg to 1mg in a month. Don't take more than prescribed or you will really freak out if you run out before your supposed to.

Xanax is one of the worst poisons western medicine has ever pushed on ill people.

So sorry for you, OP.

A seven day taper along with cannabis and LOTS of fluids helped a friend off of 1.5mg (.5 x3) prescription.

He had been taking it for over 2 years.

I will say he went through hell.

a 7 day taper probably wont get him through it , in fact it could endanger his life . with his prolonged dosing in mind he needs to do at least a 3 month taper imho.

OP, I can't help you through a forum interface. I can't bump your dosage back up to where it was. I personally have not been through this but I've read a lot on the subject of what happens when a person tapers off benzos after a long time having been on them. I understand what you're going through feels like the end of the world but I promise you it's not going to last forever. Your brain is going through shock/detox essentially having been fed Xanax for years. Abrupt cessation of the medication is what can trigger a seizure. Some Benzos are used to raise the threshold in which some persons could have a seizure (meaning it prevents them). Sudden stopping of the medicine lowers the threshold. YOU are still taking your medication. It's still in your system though at lower levels. I understand it's Hell, OP. But this won't go on forever!

FHUK THE DR! I put myself back on regular dose!

I tried following the doctor's order. Could barely move, burning and muscles seizing up. Felt like body just stopping, thought I was going to pass out when I stood up. Felt like the end. Barely made it to the XANAX medicine bottle.

Seems neurological. Move legs and arms head when not dosed difficult. Head and neck seize up. Burning pain everywhere. Anyone have this? Its underneath my dose. The medicine lets me walk. Underneath is nerve damage.

Now what? I'm stuck here forever? Do I just live like Shit for the foreseeable future? Stepping lower puts me into... loss of basic body function.

Has this happened to anyone else? I really scared. I'd rather have panic attacks. This feels like I wont survive.

Please please, anyone? I want to live. Has anyone seen this? What happened to the person?

If I stop, what should I prepare for? Can I actually die?

look at the titration taper video i posted earlier in the thread . if you make a liquid dose and reduce by millimeters per day then it may be gradual enough where you may be able to completely taper off over the course of several months .


i think its clear you are severely dependent upon these things and yes quitting abruptly very well could kill you or result in permanent injury . i'll say a prayer for you man , this wont be easy .

Tell your doctor and do a taper.

Benadryl is now your best friend. Drink Peppermint tea lots of it to calm your anxiety from within your stomach. no caffeine whatsoever. music music music all day long if you can. It'll get better. My wife found that drinking whey protein (a lot ) helped. Stay strong it will pass with time.

Your docs fucked you by putting you on 3 whole beans a day. That only leads down one path. So, Start doing what I said above. Include a multivitamin supplement, MAGNESIUM for nerve function, lots of water all day, eat light, Frosted Mini Wheats for regularity, eggs, chicken, bacon for protein, no sugars, use honey in your peppermint tea, take benadryl every 3 hours. Dont smoke anything, aviod alcohol too. This is what I did to get over Xanax, and Zoloft. I was a mess. Took 3 fuckin months to feel better. Comedy. Watch stand up comedy. Answers a ton of questions. Pick up a hobby. even just as a distraction. Stop talking to people about this and start doing as I've said here.

You are weak. opiates are the only meds you have withdrawal from. its all in your head. Try having diarrhea and cold sweats from not dosing. xanax just makes you a zombie. Go do some real drugs then come back to us.

Yes it is a controlled substance, as of January, here in Tn. anyway... When I came off xanax , I only slept 2hrs. a night, from 5am to 7am for a year and a half...not a hole lot You can do, specially if Your not a good drinker, like Me...smoke You a fattie and enjoy feeling like Your speeding, when Your not...B12 helps and eat brown rice a lot...good luck...

Don’t want to tell u what to do, but yes I did have pain and agonies right away, they were severe, like my body was shutting down, lost control of my legs, my breathing almost stopped, everything.terror, dp/dr.....

As I get lower all my muscles get tighter and stiffer and my brain can’t find my Junk properly or work out how to control the. I am in a lot of pain. Fingers are curling up and all twisted and shit. . .henceforth,,,the fukked up typing and shit... ...

i would trust some on GLP more than i trust fucking quakes that got OP into this mess to begin with

half dose sounds like you're being weened off them. I had a relative who wanted off them and started taking Benadryl at nite with last dose and had good results.

This is not medical advice merely a real life experience that worked.

ALSO This was also someone who had does cut in half from 3 x daily 1 mg to .5 mg 3 X Daily

used to eat a 30 and snort a 30 percecet everyday acouple times a day for about two weeks then ran out i thought ok fun over.pills weren't really my think but i got a whole bunch from a buddy for cheap. i thought i was getting the flu til the body aches began then i realized oh im going threw withdrawal. just suck it up. i was almost threw it till someone gave me a 5mg perc. then it was like i had to go threw it all again lol. don't do drugs. eat good sleep good and excercise. don't be weak minded. this is a test to see how strong your will is. who is stronger your mind and body or the pills........... Sometimes its just better to swallow the medicine instead of trying to make it taste better.
