We have these here on my property and all over New Mexico. They are the size of a small humming bird. [link to www.bing.com (secure)] Tarantula Hawks are freakin terrifying. It could carry a small child to its nest to feed the larvae. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75701541 Lol you are adorable. It actually appears to bee in a 50 milliliter tube and probably only 5-6 times larger than a honeybee. I dunno I really wish there was some kind of link other than a video. |

I don't care how. NO! Most Bugs are our friends! Without the little critters, we're goners. These bees won't kill you, we need bees to survive. Just watchout for the giant wasps with giant stingers that will lay eggs in your neck. Somewhere in southern Asia I think. Oh I have bees at home and welcome them. That thing was just a little 'big'. I grew up with bee hives, comb spinners and fresh honey. Jack of all trades master of none "shall not be infringed." My thinking is this....Was the temptation to bring some out and release them in other countries? And if they did what would it do to native bees? Behind every myth lies a mystery, and every legend holds an echo of the truth …… Que Sera Sera "For not by numbers of men nor by measure of body but by valor of soul is war decided" Bilisarius " At the siege of Vienna in 1683 Islam seemed poised to overrun Christian Europe. ElleMira User ID: 76494359 United States 02/23/2019 08:57 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have huge bees in a tree here in North Carolina. Quoting: StratCast73 Japanese Hornet European Hornets, what ever they are called. They come out mainly at night when I turn my porch light on to eat the bugs flying around the light. They are huge. Holy crap! I didn't know the US has Japanese Hornets!! They are the largest hornets in the world and deliver nasty venom when they sting. The pain is described as a hot nail being stabbed into the skin: "About that lethal sting – the reason it’s so much more painful compared to a regular wasp is mostly that of the amount it carries, as well as the fact that out of all wasp venoms, this one is the deadliest. When the venom meets the bloodstream, the first thing it goes for is tissue damage, and then the next thing it attacks is the nervous system with its other neurotoxin, mandaratoxin. It can also damage your kidneys to the point of failure. Another vicious ingredient in the venom is "cytolytic peptide", which reacts with cells by making them self-digest, or swell to the point of bursting." more info here: [link to yabai.com] |
