Breaking futures trading halts... CME

This might be an indication something is about to pop off that will spook investors big time. Like a major war perhaps?

It happens sometimes, but what I've seen is trade halted when things start to tumble down too fast, it's to prevent a crash......not exactly free market capitalism in its pure form, is it?

This........I almost want to say either some big asshole was saved, or they claim it's a glitch while they do behind the scenes trading while everybody else who's a retail trader at home has to sit there with their thumbs up their asses waiting for things to come back online.

Something seems off about this, because it's futures. Deciding what commodities or securities will be worth in the future. Apparently somebody was doing a lot of deciding and they didn't like the way it was going. That means....somebody knows something. Something big.

Retail traders aren't in their special club, so.....they just have to sit there and let the big boys have their kill first.

I think a major war is coming, but like most wars, it requires a lot of commodities and all those DoD contractors swarming in. It's actually a financial windfall for those investing in certain things. It brings in the players like a magnet.

The whole thing is pretty sick, if you think about it.

This sounds like technical difficulties, but weird it seems to be hitting more than one front, cyber warfare???

CME Group has identified the technical issue and is working to resolve it. When the iLink gateways are restarted they will be in the normal primary/backup configuration. We will publish the preopen and opening times shortly.

No other moves left for them....expect negative interest rates and negative treasuries.....people will pay just to have the safe havens but that won't last long...it is all a fraud.....and you know the saying....

last tick on cme was 1940 hrs, or 7:40. it is still down. this is not catastrophic but it is really, really weird. the cme is the most active and liquid exchange in the world, it has massive telecommunications redundancies.

so if your into the doom, this event is a great way to start a horrific one.

All markets on CME Globex will preopen at 09:15 PM CT and open at 09:45 PM CT. BMD markets will preopen at 09:15 PM CT and open at 09:30 PM CT. All day and session orders including GTDs with today's date will be canceled. All GTCs that have been acknowledged will remain working.
