How pure are those Qbits? I think the verdict is still out there, as to which approach to qubits will take. Using exotic matter, the quantum wells approach( Dwave), and( my personal favorite) holographic data approach? Also there is usually a PC at the other end of the results and they recently just developed a fiber optic that can probe quantum phenomena and translate it effectively. One real power in my opinion of quantum computing, is simulating science experiments. To study photosynthesis, you would try to figure out the math of how it works. You then simulate it with a PC and if your math was correct the simulation would work. Quantum computing can do this in reverse, to where you just have to simulate the photosynthesis and the quantum computer will figure out the underlying math , physics, and molecular structure.

So wheres the cure for cancer, ect?

What are these "demon machines" gonna do for me? What has my money been paying for and where the fuck are the results?

At the moment the AI finds the cure for cancer, it will realize humanity is a cancer on this earth and delete us!

D-Wave, the well-funded quantum computing company, today announced its next-gen quantum computing platform with 5,000 qubits, up from 2,000 in the company’s current system. The new platform will come to market in mid-2020.

The company’s new so-called Pegasus topology connects every qubit to 15 other qubits, up from six in its current topology. With this, developers can use the machine to solve larger problems with fewer physical qubits — or larger problems in general.
