That is such good news! My thoughts have been with you.

I have been coming into your energy shield to check on you and give you some of my own energy. Guilty. :)

Take it easy for a few days. Please!

I'm really proud of you! You kick ass over your problems and remain so sweet and awesome all the time! It is a very courageous, strong, and special soul that can endure all you have and hold no hard feelings.

Well, I'm not always sweet...I can get my big girl panties all in a bunch, and launch into someone....as you know...hugs

I'm taking the next week off...and I wouldn't know that I needed the week off, until I did know, and then it would be too late. So, yeah, I'm not going to argue with my boss about the week off.

I'll just get some stuff done around my lily pad, my space, my place of refuge....hf

janice-OMG.....btw, youse guyses, I went to pick up my meds from the Portal to Hell, and guess which one my insurance rejected?...because they said it exceeded my limit, or something like that....yup, the statin, the generic for Crestor.

Heh....chuckle looks like I have a few more days to think some more about THAT!

Re: Sheesh, I had a heart attack last night
I spent about three hours researching cholesterol and natural methods, and then just now went through every post on this thread.

I am going to get some berberine. It's not expensive, and it does look promising for lowering cholesterol.

Serrapeptase is the one I'm very interested in because I researched about it years ago for my back pain, and found that a good side effect is that it chewed up the plaque on the artery walls. I do very much need something to chew that crap right up.

The only thing is, years ago they didn't have enteric coated Serrapeptase, or I just didn't see a product that was enteric coated.

In order to help with inflammation, it had to be taken on an empty stomach and, boy-howdy, that made my stomach cramp up something fierce. I had to stop taking it.

Yet now there is the enteric coated form available, and I am definitely ordering some tomorrow along with the berberine. The Serrapeptase is not inexpensive, but I do have the money to spend on it.

What I need to know is do I need to take it on an empty stomach to get the best benefit of lowering my cholesterol levels?.....I looked today, but I haven't yet seen anything about that.

horn....does anyone reading this thread know about how to take Serrapeptase for lowering cholesterol?...on an empty stomach or full stomach? I know how to take it for my back, and I'm going to add that to my inflammation reducing supplement regimen.

:lol1:...hell, I'll just take it with food AND without food. It's a helluva supplement.

I'm also ordering Organic Premium Matcha in bulk, also not cheap, but there's a 25% discount right now and that will save me some money but good.

I used to drink green tea all the time, but got a bad batch - fluoride in it, uhg - and it took me months to get over that, so I've fully shied away from green tea....I do know however that it is fabulous for the body.

I'm very happy I found that product, and on sale. The over 200 comments all say it's delicious. YaY! I need something to replace the Coke I drink...and although I've cut back drastically on my Coke consumption in the last year, I need to put it down.

Sugar is my enemy, and I need to completely kill it from my diet....aaa

Altogether tomorrow I'm going to be putting out near $200 for the above three supplements, but I very much think it's going to be SO WORTH IT....especially if I am not going to take a statin.

I've got to get my arteries cleaned up, STAT!

I haven't had a cigarette since yesterday morning when I had that half of one. I have none in my apartment, and I'm just going to wiz right by any place that sells them.

I'm tellin' y'all straight up, I AM QUITTIMG I HAVE QUIT SMOKING!

If I feel a craving, and I have, I just say the afformation, "Why am I now smoke free?" and I've added to that "Why am I now so healthy?"

I AM going to kick this heart disease and its evil roots right square in the ass....ohyeah

I did some digging and found this:

Serrapeptase must be taken on an empty stomach in order to obtain the systemic anti-inflammatory benefits. If you consume it with a meal, your body will use it to digest the food in your intestines. Therefore most people find it easiest to take serrapeptase first thing in the morning. You can eat half an hour later. A typical starting dose is between 80 000 and 250 000 IU per day.

Thank you, Louis....hf

Hopefully, now that I'll be getting an enteric coated form, it won't give me such terrible stomach cramps.

Also, heh, I got my hair cut today. I totally threw caution to wind, and got it cut much shorter. It's CUTE!

I'm going to put an herbal rinse in it one day this week....heh, I might even look kinda-sorta pretty again!

There's something about getting a new lease on life that is so wonderful!....ohyeah

My client I took to Ruidoso on Friday morning called me to inquire how I was doing, and she told me that she knew something wasn't right with me Friday morning, that I looked kinda pale, and that I seemed kind of out of it, but she didn't want to say anything to make me feel bad.

One of the nurses walked into the ER room I was in, looked at me, and said, "Boy, she looks white as a ghost" and then got busy.

The difference between my mental sharpness since the attack and before the attack is just about profound. The difference is big. I was taking a supplement to increase my mental acuity because I had gotten kinda bad cognition-wise. I was forgetful, and just not my usual sharp as a tack self. I thought it was just because I was getting older, but it was because of that blockage.

Now, when I look at myself in the mirror I have pink in my cheeks, and my eyes are kinda sparkly.

I really do feel like a million bucks....hf

Holy kwap, this ain't easy.

Okay, as far as the sweet tooth (and I've got a bad one!), the only thing that works for me and the cravings is bee pollen granules - cravings are gone. I take about 1 tsp. a day.

Now, if you really need something sweet, I just discovered the Russell Stover sugar-free candies. They are sweetened with Stevia and are actually very good. Just a couple and that's all I need. Order through Ama*zon or directly from their website.

But the ciggies, I can't help there. I'm a back-slider myself. yeahsure

Get well soon, dear.

And remember, our legs are our second heart and why walking is the most important thing we can do. Muscle movement adds in returning blood flow back up the lower extremities, fighting gravity.

I am due for something health wise as the stress is tremendous right now, (IRS debt, no job, facing living in my car if you can believe that) and I am out of weapons, beauty is gone and am old and tired. I just hope I go in my sleep and after the dogs are put to rest (they are 15).
The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance.” —Aldous Huxley
