I need some advice.

My father is being, and has been royally screw by my mom after seperation for 18 years now..

Paying 900$ a month to per since seperation.. For 18 years..

He and i both have crohns desease. He has it really bad, and his health is falling apart.. He is over 60, working 6-7 days a week and has been to the hospital multiple times.

My mother (gold digger) refuses to work.. And our socialist justice system might screw him once again..

She wants to double payments till the day he dies, and then get his new wife to pay when he dies.

I am disgusted.

He has help us kids and is a great father..

I would die for him in a heart beat, and want to see him be able

One way is to invest all liquid assets into one's home. Bankruptcy laws in US exempt the home. Another way is to provide gifts of assets to family members one trusts.

Imagine adding an addition to the home or otherwise improving its value. Years later, sell the home.

OP, I don't know what Province you are in, but I suspect their laws will be similar to that of Ontario's whom I have linked below for you.

The valid reason for change "The partner receiving spousal support should now be self-supporting." seems to apply to your father in this case.
