what you need instead, is the last visual moments, through the eyes of those in the cockpit.
This is a possibility.

You would have to show/train that 'person' tapping in, how to know what they're looking at though, as most people are not aware of the technical dodads/data in a cockpit.

It would be easier for a close relative of one that was flying, but a suitably strong 'looker', could possibly achieve this.

Don't you people find it more than odd that the two airplane stories of that period were both Malaysian airbuses? One disappeared and one, mysteriously flying low over a war zone was shot down. Isn't this odd? Except for the number painted on side side of the planes, they were virtually identical.
