In a vacuum I do not think that you can even have combustion.
Above and below certain saturation levels combustion can not take place depending on the combustible.
And, in a vacuum the molecules do just go away as the molecules of combustion have zero resistance.
The molecules would be absorbed by a vacuum faster than they can be ejected from a rocket engine.

Would be nice if you (or anyone else) can actually provide an experimental proof that rocket propulsion works in a vacuum.

In theory, anything works. Warp engines on USS Enterprise also work...in theory.


However, there isn't even a SINGLE PIECE of experimental evidence that a rocket engine actually WORKS in a vacuum, and there is propulsion.
