Gravity does explain it which is why the higher the altitude the thinner the atmosphere. If it was a dome and no gravity, the atmosphere would be uniform density.

How do Buoyancy and Density specifically explain, as an example, you and I standing on the Earth? Are you suggesting that the atmosphere pushes us down? 14 lbs. per sq in. pretty much holds us down. yep. And up. Air pressure doesnt explain gravity. Circular logic.
