Interestingly, there isn't much of an accent here in NW Arkansas. Maybe because of it being centered around Wally World's global headquarters and Fayetteville being a University town?

Even in the rural areas, the accent is hit and miss, much like the Ozarks of MO.

But go into parts of Kansas, holy shit!

Look at the day 5 outlook:

... a surface cold front is progged to sweep across the central
and southern Plains and into Missouri/Arkansas through the day, and
then quickly eastward across the Mississippi River into the Ohio and
Tennessee Valleys overnight. While the strongest large-scale ascent
is progged at this time to sweep across the Ozarks vicinity during
the day, as the trough takes on a negative tilt, substantial
questions remain as to the degree of moistening/destabilization that
will be able to occur this far north. Greater severe risk may
therefore remain farther south, from east Texas/Louisiana across the
Lower Mississippi Valley region, and possibly into the central Gulf
Coast states late.

Aside from questions regarding instability, this appears likely to
be a strongly dynamic system with strong flow/shear covering a broad
area. As such, damaging winds, and potential for tornadoes, is
evident at this time. At this time, a large 15% probability area
will be issued centered on a north-south zone from Missouri to the
Lower Mississippi Valley, with additional areal, and risk-level,
refinements to be made in subsequent outlooks."


That large 15% area is what I'm translating into the sight risk area that the SPC would issue this far out. Them stating "refinements to be made in subsequent outlooks" tells me that certain areas will be bumped up into the enhanced, or even moderate risk categories if this system has some *oomph* to it.

Sorry misunderstood. Our first footsteps were in Penn, but we got smart and moved before the liberals came.

DFW weather people are just minimizing a "slight" chance of "maybe" some storms Saturday night, "maybe a few might be severe", but basically down playing as a wait and see. Usually when they don't fear monger for a week is when the big one hits.
