Colombia Has Legalized Euthanasia of Children, Allows Doctors to Kill Kids Over 6 Years-Old

The process began in 1997 when Colombia’s Constitutional Court ruled that ending lives in certain circumstances was not illegal. In Sentencia C-239/97 it stated: “Nothing is more cruel than to force a person to survive in the midst of shameful suffering, in the name of other people’s beliefs.”

And then, in 2017 (Sentencia T-544) the Court ordered the Department of Health and Social Protection to issue regulations which would “guarantee the right to death worthy of children and adolescents”.

So on March 9, 2018, the Department of Health and Social Protection issued Resolution 825 which allowed euthanasia for children over 6. The Department explained that before that age children cannot grasp the idea of their own death. However, children between the ages of 7 and 12 are allowed access euthanasia with the approval of their parents. Children between 12 and 14 can access it even if one parent disagrees. After 14, no parental involvement is needed, provided that all the requirements for euthanasia are fulfilled.

Like adults, the child must have an incurable condition, have unmanageable pain and the mental capacity to consent...

Autism is incurable... and the argument could be made that it causes unimaginable pain, mentally and emotionally for the child, for instance.

No offense but my sister is a nurse at a children’s hospital and there are certain children who have 0% chance at living and are in excruciating pain due to mutation/abnormalities. Some kids are born with the heart in the wrong spot and no kidneys and nearly all their organs are twisted and in the wrong area. There are definitely cases where terminating someone is the humane thing to do to end their suffering especially when there is no light at the end of the tunnel for recovery.

These idiot liberals just keep pissing off God, don't they? It's like they want an angry diety to come down and punish them...

I cannot remember the people, but I read about a society ..I can't remember offhand who they were, that absolutely believed that they would come back after death. Because of this, whoever they fought in wars dreaded facing them because they were absolutely not afraid to die. It will be the same.

Just a day or two ago I said in another thread, "Who knows what new horrors tomorrow will bring..." and look what is happening. This mass insanity. Mass murders, and essentially the initiation of an all out civil war in America is quite possibly going to happen alot sooner than I anticipated.
