Why are there always a sympathetic poster or two who will defend an OP, especially someone begging for money, without giving the right answers.

If the OP was so into his kid he would contact the dr. a poster put here. I would drive my kid today there if he was really in such a state. no he is going to leave the country and the Lativians are going to heal this child.

What surgery can be performed on the liver in relation to type 1 Nutmeg?

Is malabsorbtion a common thing in type 1? Can you really "hand clean" his intestines and they will work again?

Either Nutmgeg the RN or OP can you explain the treatment he will recieve.

So the one doctor wont treat because he is sick; and others wont treat because he is just not getting his insulin correct ?

Is OP Todd, Jeffery or some other alias?

Why have no friends or family even shared on FB ?

whole other FB campaign for donations... would think family and friends would at least offer kind words.

The charts of his glucose is not even close enough to verify. We are not verfiying if he has diabetes..... we are trying to verify if this is not a scam.

Not being heartless, I have seen Very kind and really caring people get taken advantage of before on GLP. I am having a heart for them and their hard earned money and thoughts and prayers.

Oh god. Having a medical emergency while flying is on the list of things I actually fear in this life.

I never saw a dollar amount besides 10k to go to Latvia, or 100k for a lawyer.

Reason he may have got that answer is that there is no case or no provable case.

many people with experience has given him advice but fails to head it and keep buttering up to and pulling the strings of kind hearts.

If we gave 5 bucks each to anybody who came here and asked; first GLP would be the honeypot of the internet, and next we all would be broke.

He has many options right in his state. Why the explaining about a lawyer in the first place? he does not not you Nutmeg to defend him or his cause from members who want info that should be hard to explain.

Long story short...

I saw a post on GLP a few years ago. The guy asked for a pizza. I couldn't believe that someone would be hungry. He lived in the Midwest. I'm in the Northeast. He lived alone.

I never sent him money because I wasn't sure what he would use it for, but I sent pizza and other food, dog food for his two big dogs, new clothes, toiletries, a new mattress set, blankets, pillows. I paid his phone bills. I never added it up, but I think I might have spent $2,000 or a little more.

When he got a job, I received a cashier's check for $2,500. I wanted to tear it up, but he insisted I keep it. He was 37 at the time. I never met him even though we said we'd meet someday. We were friends on Facebook. One day last year I read that he died at the age of 42. To this day, I wish I would have done more.

Cool story. But 1 in a million on the internet. The OP of this thread could be legit. Or some fat guy named Kim in New Zealand. Or he could be some woman being paid a penny a day in a Nigerian warehouse trying to "scam" some push over American.. Your choice. This site is not immune. Donate wisely.

Thanks for all your support. I took some time off yesterday and had to pay bills this morning, so it's been kinda busy. I emailed Jon as you said and explained the situation a little. Hopefully I'll hear back from him soon.

Lol, my iphone 5S is years old. I bought it refurbished on eBay for $95. You have to take care of everything you have.

But look at foreign countries where medical system isnt rigged.

Some countries in Europe like France are good as well.Medication and cost of surgery should be less.

Grains, home baked bread, lean meat with as little fat as possible, boiled veggies. He drinks homemade Oat Milk, Naked juice and water. We changed our diet after he got sick and so we all eat the same things in support of him. He can't handle any saturated fat or raw fibers at this point, because he'll break out into sweats, have abdominal pain and feel nauseous. His Blood Glucose numbers skyrocket when he eats these things and his numbers will be high for about three days.

It’s been a very difficult year since our son’s diagnosis. It’s been nothing but tears, high glucose numbers, changing diets and difficulty with doctors. I can honestly say that there is no worse feeling than worrying over that health of your child.

all he can eat is sugar and carbs (carbs turn into sugar too). That explains the out of control glucose number. I know it's hard changing kids diet but they are probably going to put a lot of restrictions on what he eats in latavia too. His liver isn't going to heal until he get's food other than sugar in him.

Doctor Bernstein was diagnosed at your son's age and he invented the first glucose monitor and reversed all his organ problems with a low sugar diet and he has type 1 too.

Here's an overview of the diet, he also treats kids. He's disease free well into his 80's. I don't know if he still needs to take insulin.
