Let me tell you a story about how the cartels regard children.

I have a close relative who worked for Immigration.

My relative was staying home with her own sick child. Her team from Immigration went to the Rio Grande Valley on assignment.

The entire op was to protect a CHILD. The little boy's father was a cartel human trafficker and drug smuggler. Somehow, the father decided to kill his wife, mother-in-law, and his own son.

It is possible that the child knew too much and was being held by the US.

At any rate, there were 11 Immigration agents in two vehicles. A passing vehicle hit both with machine gun fire.

My relative saw photos of the vehicles; said they looked like colanders because they had so many bullet holes in them. All 11 agents were killed. This happened in 2010.

Unknown to the cartel, the kid was safely stashed in the basement of an Immigration building being interviewed by the FBI and other feds.
