BIG Earthquake imminent North-East NZ

Doesn't that area usually precede a major Japan quake, or am I wrong?

Don't know. I just noticed these popping up all over the place N-E of NZ in the past 48 hours.

Is there another website that can show a summary of this area in the past 2-3 days?

Sure? Do you know location/ link to USGS or other site. Not denying it just didn't catch it on the news or GLP.

NOPE, I looked it up, nothing. The biggest was a M6.4 but the number of "aftershocks" is rather large and too frequent for M6.

fear porn, in my boots i quake. lol its south east north island that has the potential to 9+ hikurangi trench, kermadec trench not so threatening, well maybe to auckland, but that shithole needs glassing anyhoo :D

its nothing like the massive swarm there a few years back, there were a much larger amount, many 6's and 7's

this does seem to be tapering off into the 4's

I have been wondering if these quakes are more related to the ancient trench that runs between Mayor Island and Fiji

coz we'e had a huge amount of deep Fiji quakes in the last year

there has been the ongoing slower swarm up near Whangarei too

and a big increase of small quakes off Whangamata and Whitianga the last few months

and i hear the navy has been doing exercises at Whitianga last week

makes one feel a little nervous
