Just like his predecessor, all Trump has done is kicked the can down the road when it comes to dealing with North Korea by trying to cut a deal with people who will never deal. North Korea is not going to give up their nukes. That is non negotiable with these people. Trump should of realized this. This is a bit of ego thing with Trump thinking he can get North Korea to give up their nukes when many others have failed. Plus it is a stalling tactic on Trump's part because the alternatives are either do nothing or go to war with North Korea. Both alternatives have very negative downsides. I guess he could keep stalling and keep North Korea talking indefinitely but that's not going to de-nuclearize the Korean peninsula only stall having a war.
