The body's immune response to most of the really bad infections, be they viruses or bacteria, is to RAISE the body temperature. The worse the disease the HIGHER the body raises it's temperature as it fights the infection.

Medical Science on the other hand "thinks" the a temperature response is BAD. I have never figured that one out since most viruses and bacterial infections only multiply within a very tight temperature range, get them outside that range and they are not only much less virulent, but many of them DIE OFF very quickly.

Medical "Science" still doesn't really understand the human body and it's reaction to various things (low fat diets are GOOD ... no now they are BAD; sugar is BAD ... no the artificial sweeteners are now being found to be WORSE; etc. etc.)
