That’s steady, solid growth to be sure, continuing an unbroken chain of monthly gains in total employment that started in October 2010. But the average monthly gain under Trump is 189,000 jobs, which is nearly 13 percent below the monthly average of 217,000 during Obama’s second term. Trump will have to pick up the pace if he is to fulfill his campaign boast that he will be “the greatest jobs president that God ever created.” At the current monthly rate, a total of just over 18 million jobs would be added over eight years. That’s better than the 11.6 million added under Obama and the 16.1 million added under Ronald Reagan, but well below the 22.9 million added when Bill Clinton was president, and the population was smaller. |

All that Trump can do, at this point, in order to bypass the Fed and to restore the wconomy in the global market, is to go gold standard. Crypto would be too unstable. |

Unless one is an IDEOLOGUE BLINDED BY PARTISAN LOYALTY. According to the latest Treasury data, the US budget surplus in January - traditionally one of the few surplus months of the year due to its tax receipts timing - was only $9 billion, badly missing the $25 billion surplus expected, and far below the $49 billion surplus recorded last January; it was the smallest January gain since 2015. As a result, the budget deficit for the first four months of the fiscal year, widened to $310 billion, a whopping 77% higher than the $175.7 billion reported for the same period last year, largely the result of the revenue hit from Trump's tax cuts and the increase in government spending. The deficit was the result of a 2% drop in fiscal YTD receipts to $1.1 trillion, while spending jumped 9% to $1.4 trillion. American manufacturing jobs have been being sucked out to foreign nations for the past 30 years, mostly after NAFTA was passed in to law. It will take some time to recover 10's of millions of middle class manufacturing jobs back. Not nor ever would that happen in 2 years. Took 30 years to get sucked out and will take at least another 5 to 10 years to really see the fruits of what President Trump has been doing with economic trade. Least he is freaking trying and none of you weak never Trumpers can say any of the last 4 POTUS have even tried to recover our lost American manufacturing. Whole lot of Americans are going to be F##ked anyway you cut it anyway since Americans have fallen way way way behind in reading, writing and math/science education at the grammar and high school level. So unless Americans ages 18 to 30 get their asses in a good vocational technical college or they are going to be f##ked when they go to seek out a manufacturing job since everything is quickly moving at a much higher pace towards advanced robotics. |
