I didn't even know Girl Scouts took camping trips. I thought they had to join Boy Scouts (now) or Explorers to do that.

Yeah, doing a bunch of highly structured activities under adult supervision for merit badges (or whatever GS call them) and selling cookies (required) every year, teaches about navigating ambiguity.

Why would she use the “Challenger” space shuttle as an example, instead of just saying space shuttle?

Why would all those things in her examples be put together in the same set of examples instead of things like camping, fishing, starting a fire, etc. those examples seem pretty niche if they were experienced as part of the Girl Scouts and not representative of what most girls would get to do.

Why is it she’s still allowed to speak in public by her cohorts in the party?
