someone saying they win before even starting to play a game can be viewed as a dissociative trait.

NO! lol conviction is a deterrent to fear. No, it's not key. Rather, it reveals a dispensation of the mind, an ability to detach from ordinary sensory modality. In other words, it's a corollary to psychic aptitude. That is having one increases the likelihood of having the other. On one hand though...some abilities do better utilizing the dissociative state. Channeling is one of those.
