Most people that do not succeed even better with foods and plants is because they do not get enough of the right ones for thier body, wieght, condition or have a way or reference to know if they are "getting it right" or how well it is working. It is thier "first time".
A person can do most of it if they have a consult.

Speaking of Drs, bastar*s and clergymen, I am going back to full time in south New Mexico and wherever church comes up with.

This is another grand example of how Big Pharma is killing people for the sake of profits.

The "cholesterol theory" of heart disease was debunked many years ago through the research of Dr. Linus Pauling, who even discovered a legitimate cure for heart disease: simply taking enough Vitamin C and the amino acid Lysine together daily counteracts the INFLAMMATION that is the TRUE cause of clogged arteries.

My 84 year old father was on a statin and has having horrible diabetic nuereopothy pain in his legs. I bought him a few books about the danger of statins. He stopped taking it and his health improved significantly. His doctor was supporting. On the other hand, my step-dad wanted to quit his and his doctor pitched an absolute fit.

I have a first in office appt. with the cardiologist who did my emergency stent after having a heart attack less than two weeks ago. I've had my insurance deny two different 'scripts for statins, and quite honestly, I think that's divine intervention.

I do not want to take statins, and I've started taking serrapeptase to help with reducing the plaque....there are no other clogs in my ateries, but they are showing signs of constriction.

A client of mine told me about ezetimibe, the generic for Zetia, and I'm wondering if youse guyses have any personal experience about this drug. It is not a statin, and is used in concert with a statin. I'm hoping to use it in concert with the serrapeptase with be efficient in lowering my levels.

I suppose what I'm hoping is that the doc will approve of this without too much argument.

I know I do not have to take anything I don't want to, but my cholesterol readings are very high, and I so do not want to have another heart attack. It hurts really, really bad to have a heart attack.

I'm also totally changing up my diet more to plant based foods, and I'm going to start walking very soon. I know that's key to my health also.

Also, I do take in oils. I eat organic butter, I take CBD oil, black seed oil, and other oils, so I'm not so much concerned about not getting enough oils.

Can anyone here advise me? My appt. is in two hours, and I don't want to see him without being at least a bit educated.

Thank you....hf

This is all just absolutely NUTS.

I hope and pray that Trump will at least begin the process of turning the medical industry around to where their focus will be on actually CURING disease instead of just MANAGING SYMPTOMS.

Yeah, I know that seems like an impossibly tall order, but the way we're dealing with illness now really is insane -- and ridiculously expensive.

what's actually funny is that for most of us

our DIET is gonna eventually kill us , cause us muscle pains , premature aging , memory loss and undoubtedly cancer -and a whole lot more

and with both statins and our diet we have a choice

and a responsibility to make informed choices that are best for us

we generally don't

and if any of you don't want what doctors have to offer , do everybody a favour and don't bother wasting their time, yours and the time of those that do

thanks

I do think the serrapeptase and changing my diet and walking are going to help a great deal, and I can try it my way for say three months, get my cholesterol levels checked again, and then go forward from there.

Thank you so much for this thread, lovey....hugshf

Cosmic Gypsy, I often wonder if people have an upset mineral balance that sets off heart attacks.

You know, the same way we get a foot cramp, except it is in the muscle of the heart.

It can't hurt to think about whether you are getting all the needed electrolytes. Magnesium, Potassium are chronically low in so many. And good old water can be low too causing cramping.

Just thoughts for you, hth

Thank you, lovey. Per blood tests my levels of those are within limits, but I also know I need to be more vigilant about EVERYTHING I'm putting in my mouth.

And actually, the Internist I see has just ordered a comprehensive metabolic panel, so that will be more revealing. I haven't done the tests yet because I wanted to see what the cardiologist wanted to order, too. I just saw the Internist last Friday, so I'm not waiting too long.

Also, I have been getting strange cramps in my second toe over from my littlest toe, on both feet. That just started about a month ago. That hurts....I mean, the toes do get all jacked up/pinched up looking while it happens. I do have issues with my lumbar, but I don't intuitively feel it's from there.

I'm going to see what the tests being ordered reveal, and thank you very much for your post!

Unfortunately most blood panels do not uncover magnesium deficiencies. The body is remakebly good at keeping it within a very narrow range in the blood, so it wont show up unless they test the intracelullar concentration.

The footcramp is a tell tale sign of magnecium deficiency.
There are a couple of good cheap sources you can try.
Magnesium oil for topical use, it is simply magnesium cloride and water often sold as a 31% concetrated solution at outragios prices. Very easy to make yourself!

Another one is magnesium bicarbonate water, also easy, Milk of magnesia or magnesium hydroxide in seltzer water.

There are natural alternatives to pharma statins. A lot of people have had great succes with switching to red yeast rice, from a reputable source( there are fakes on the market). This in combination with turmeric and reishi mushrooms and resveratrol takes care of both the inflamation and the cholesterol.

ALL FACTS. Seems the only people who benefit just a little from statins are middle-aged men with known heart disease. The rest of the population, you are killing yourselves.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76549085

Yep, it's a classic case of treating the symptom (high cholesterol) instead of the underlying cause (inflammation.)

Statins lower cholesterol but they deplete CO-Q10, which is why they have so many side effects.

ffs. Just eat a can of beets an hour before you go to the doctor's office. It'll drop the blood pressure like a rock. I don't know exactly why it works but it does; you can find articles online about it. Dentists these days want to take your blood pressure before they do any work on you and if their office was a long and stressful drive away, your blood pressure might look high for a half hour or so and the dentist will make you wait - I discovered this much to my own annoyance.

That said, if you're waiting for your doctor to 'approve' any decision you want to make about your own body, I'm not sure anything can save you, because you've already given away your free will, without which your survival instinct is nullified. Do some research on your own and find out what works best for you individually.

You're the only one who really cares if you do it right so nobody on an internet forum (and this one is about 90% total morons) has anything invested in whether or not their 'advice' helps you or kills you. When you take care of your own business and stop trying to delegate it, at least you can trust the person coming up with the answers.:)

I do have mag oil, I just haven't yet used it. I'm going to start using it daily. The toe cramps are brief, but they hurt.

I saw the cardiologist, and he said it's not that he's concerned about lowering my cholesterol, he's concerned about the inflammation, and that the statin is an anti-inflammatory for the artery walls. He is aware of serrapeptase and he does think it's good I'm taking it...but still he gave me a 'script of a small does of a statin, because that's what I asked for, rather than the large dose they were trying to give me. I'm still not sure that I'm going to take it, but I have it if I do decide to take it. I'd really rather take care of the issue myself, at least try, before taking a statin.

Inflammation is a big deal problem for me health-wise all the way around....my heart, my back, and my female parts.

I am making serious changes to my diet to decrease inflammation - no soda and no sugar, adding a hella lot more greens - and I'm going to bump up the amount of turmeric and red micro algae I take, and check into what else I can do to decrease the systemic inflammation problem I'm having. The addition of the serrapeptase should be ideal for me, because it not only chews away the plaque, it also is an anti-inflammatory.

I so do not want to have another heart attack. It's scary as all get out, and extraordinarily painful.

Thank you very much for posting to me. I WILL get on the mag oil I have...hf

what the doctors fail to tell you is that if you do take these statin things, you must also take CoQ 10. Unbelievable that doctors don't tell you anything about diet and other vital stuff, just prescribe these poisonous statins. I took them for six weeks then had the worst muscle pain EVER which took another six weeks to go away, and no pain killer worked during that time. Doctor said oh you are allergic then. Meanwhile I suggest to everyone they get themselves a bottle of COQ10 if they are taking the statins.

Also, I do take in oils. I eat organic butter, I take CBD oil, black seed oil, and other oils, so I'm not so much concerned about not getting enough oils.

Can anyone here advise me? My appt. is in two hours, and I don't want to see him without being at least a bit educated.

Thank you....hf

Cut the sugar and you will cut down the inflammation, which is REALLY what will kill you.

Take the Right Turmeric supplement and it's one of the best anti-inflammatory's on earth.

2. Curcumin Is a Natural Anti-Inflammatory Compound

Inflammation is incredibly important.

It helps your body fight foreign invaders and also has a role in repairing damage.

Without inflammation, pathogens like bacteria could easily take over your body and kill you.

Although acute, short-term inflammation is beneficial, it can become a major problem when it becomes chronic and inappropriately attacks your body's own tissues.

Scientists now believe that chronic, low-level inflammation plays a major role in almost every chronic, Western disease. This includes heart disease, cancer, metabolic syndrome, Alzheimer's and various degenerative conditions (4, 5, 6).

Therefore, anything that can help fight chronic inflammation is of potential importance in preventing and even treating these diseases.

Curcumin is strongly anti-inflammatory. In fact, it’s so powerful that it matches the effectiveness of some anti-inflammatory drugs, without the side effects (7, 8, 9 ).

It blocks NF-kB, a molecule that travels into the nuclei of your cells and turns on genes related to inflammation. NF-kB is believed to play a major role in many chronic diseases (10, 11).

Without getting into the details (inflammation is extremely complicated), the key takeaway is that curcumin is a bioactive substance that fights inflammation at the molecular level (12, 13, 14).

Ok, I'm not really up on this, but have read that some people's chemistry doesn't jibe with turmeric. (Although loads of poeople are good with it)

A person needs to find the route that works for them.
