My brother is a mechanic for the V-22. Boeing is not hurting for money that's for sure. They have huge military contracts and billions of dollars worth of aircraft on order from US and Japan.

give it a few days, they will need to verify that all pilots flying the plane have needed training and understand the issue..

Good! But they still have to fix this problem, and it looks like a big expensive one.

Most airlines have plenty of other planes in their fleets. Not sitting around in hangers, but it's amazing how they accommodate the flying public. I'm always amazed.

The only thing that usually creates a real problem is the weather and computer system failure. That lasts a few hours to 2 days at the most. Then everything is back to normal. I don't know how schedulers do it! Bright people!

Boeing posted revenue of $101 billion last year, and a $10.6 billion profit. It had forecast even stronger results this year. So for grounding 737 for 3 months they will lose 5 billion. So 1 year grounding will lose 20 billion. There goes all of Boeing profits for the next 4 years!!! Stock will crash HARD in the coming weeks, once people realize the impact of this.
