There were lots of female software engineers in the olden days. (Not as many female hardware engineers though.) There were loads of people of both sexes learning to be engineers in those days.

I don't see many young people going into engineering, anymore.

But the young people feel they are "technical" because they can download an app in a flash etc.

I remember when TV shows were mostly black and white.. and when many of the older folk who were still alive that didn't have electricity or running water in their homes when they were children. Those were good people btw each one with memorable and very unique personalities...
