One thing not yet mentioned in this thread - the need for 911 in order to start recording us, investigating us, keeping records on us, snooping into our lives constantly, which continues - this is a major reason, if not THE major reason, for 911 - justification for the betrayal of the autonomy and privacy of the American citizens.
