I think his torch was flashing on and off??
Quoting: curry nosher LED's are not on permanatly, they actually flash very fast and give the illusion of being on all the time. Video shows this up some times in phase, like static propellors on planes etc. No. Not even close. LEDs are constant unless put into strobe mode. I can absolutly assure you, that LED's are not actually on all the time, but give that illusion. The diode flashes at capacitance and then discharges. I am aware of the strobe mode, that is the cutting off of the power source to the LED at source and is different. The frequency that LED's flash in normal operation, menas they can appear to strobe when filmed etc.
