A college education means little these days, either. You'll have to work four jobs just to pay back student loans to the gov't. ...it's all a scam...too bad dumb Americans don't get it....spend your first 65 years working, then retire a few years and croak. ...once again, the govt gets to keep the thousands they took from your paycheck over the last forty years. People should be outraged at this scam, but instead they keep accepting this bullshit.

yeah the main picture for the story is a job at mcdonalds.

They are all fast food, pizza delivery and Amazon/uber/grub hub drivers

They'll have very cutting edge specific jobs like "oil geo-survey analyst" or something and the last line of the 50 lines of requirements says "must speak Portugese" or some such shit.

Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese a plus

In other words, they'd prefer a non-white male. That's what that says. Imagine if you saw that job and had all the requirements and certifications or whatever.. and then you read that very last line at the very end of the job posting that they'd prefer a "portuguese" lingual "person".

And if you go visit corporate job sites like Lowes, or Home Depot the photo is ALWAYS a black male and a white girl. That is pretty much on EVERY corporate site you go to, oh and of course an asian. Rarely a white male.

Besides companies obviously colluding to pay as little as they can (i.e. minimum wage), you know what's also bullshit? Many job openings even those above minimum wage requiring or preferring bi-lingual in Spanish.

I've noticed this since a year or two ago. It's ridiculous! Instead of legal foreigners learning English to work here (like it was in the past and should be).

I doubt it's like that in all states, but this is prevalent in California (yea I know...).

when you pay 11 bucks an hour it's hard to get employees

best bet take one of these dead end jobs and rob the place
