As a high school senior in Louisiana, Lauren Fidelak maintained a 4.0 GPA and scored a stellar 34 on her ACT. But when she applied to her preferred schools, the University of Southern California and UCLA, she wasn't accepted.

The rejections left her so upset she had an emotional breakdown and needed to be hospitalized in Boston.

Since the early 1990's the message that has been blasted clear and loud from Business and Academia is this.

WHITE MALES NEED NOT APPLY.

The corrupt colleges barred white males, white females all Asians, and only allowed foreigners and blacks via affirmative action to get into these universities.

What choice is left for parents, the system is set up to cheat you if you are not as I said, a foreigner or a black.

They cheat = cheat you must . THEY made the rules

Surprising they did not accept her from out of state....they usually do because they really jack up the out of state tuition. I got accepted @ UCLA years ago as a chemistry major after having done 2yrs of community college in the midwest. It was cool to have gotten accepted but I knew the real reason was about tuition and not my grades. So I went & visited, had some fun in LA for a couple of weeks then came home and enrolled in our state run Big Ten University. Hint: Go Green!

It’s all rigged. If you are white and don’t have the money to bribe them then you don’t stand much of a chance.

Unless college is absolutely necessary your children are better off without it. There are so many other ways to get a career. And they won’t be paying off expensive student loans either.

In regards to the whole "rich people buying access" thing. I always thought that was how it was done in those upper-tier schools.

They leave a small percentage of slots "open" for the random public, but the vast majority are bought. Either through "donations" or money-driven "networking".

I'm more shocked at the outrage than I am the act. Thought everybody knew this was how it was done. Guess that's what I get for being a plebe.

Guess they figure out if you are smart enough you will figure out a way to get in. You have to be creative to outsmart the system or you just don’t play. Hopefully this girl has learned a valuable life lesson. If she doesn’t she just won’t make it and will break even further. She has book smarts. Now she has to get street smarts.

Mid 90's, they were still pushing post secondary on everyone. If you had the marks and were not going, you were deemed a failure or freak. The white male demonization was still in its early stages, and certainly they were being pushed into uni. in lock step with females.

Maybe admissions were skewed towards females.. or maybe it varied depending on where you were. But in W. Canada, the propaganda was "go to university or starve."

I feel bad for her and hope she wins her lawsuit but she's got some issues just as important as grades that she needs to work on.

Life is full of disappointments and is certainly not fair, I have no problem with her filing a lawsuit if she was passed over unfairly but the emotional breakdown tells me she can't deal with adversity and is not someone I would hire.

they "employ" holistic criteria when evaluating good matches for the school. more than likely she had activities that tipped off the school that she was a Christian... that will put her application at the bottom of a stack.

They used to only do this to white Protestant males. Now they're getting the white females in on the non-action.

And all that crap white females have been talking about their grand collegiate and career success is about to amount to a pile of last year's leaves.

Welcome to my world, baby! LOL You can go to truck driver school, now!

Yeah, there really was a conspiracy. And now it's your turn. So, they finally chewed you up and spit you out too, eh? Tell me about your achievements.

It’s all about the money. University enrollment is down and they are looking for big bucks. And most people go to college so they can make more money too for the most part. There are better ways to make a living than to deal with universities. Too expensive and too much stress.

You have to look for doctors like you would for a good auto mechanic. Very carefully. Funny how people will research and ask around for the best person to work on their car but will go to anyone for their health. Better to learn to take care of ourselves for the most part.
