Quoting: Adytum The Air Force officials sound like idiots. Not really, FOD, foreign object damage causes 90% of failures on aircraft. Landing a plane is not an option here. They are being called out, but this is universal from all angles. But The constant chatter from all directions is going in one direction. |

Those planes, built in Canada and Ireland were very popular in the regional jet market...same market Boing 737 is competing for. Maybe the British MI6 is hitting back. Wondering Mind User ID: 73265267 United States 03/15/2019 05:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In a blistering attack on Boeing, the Air Force's top acquisition official said the company has a "severe situation" with flawed inspections of its new KC-46 air refueling tanker aircraft, after trash and industrial tools were found in some planes after they were delivered to the Air Force. Quoting: Baal Molech Dr. Will Roper, assistant secretary of the Air Force for acquisition, technology and logistics, made clear his concerns after visiting Boeing's Everett Washington plant where the plane is assembled. "I left concerned, and I also left thinking Boeing understands they have a severe situation that's going to take top level engagement from their company," Roper said. After discovering the problem, the Air Force stopped accepting the new tankers from Boeing on February 20. [link to www.cnn.com (secure)] Wow. That had to have been real bad. But The constant chatter from all directions is going in one direction. Not really, if the Foreign Object Debris (FOD) was something like a Wi-Fi router or chipset, it could be used to conduct a cyber-attack via the 'Fence' (the electro-magnetic shield that monitors all incoming and outgoing objects to-and-from Earth in orbit, where the satellites and clustered 'space debris' are). It doesn't have to involve the Cloud or the Blockchain, but it could be a very hard-to-detect thing, if say, a pilot or crewmember were to log into a Bitcoin account mid-flight... I think what the Air Force said was a way of 'saying-not-saying' something. In code, if you like. Pretty sure they don't want their planes abruptly crashing anyway. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 44534076 It means your non-union ass will be fired if you do a piss-poor job. I agree to a certain extent but in the Southeast you have employers who do not pay s*** to their employees and you end up with lousy quality anyway and companies like some Medicare Advantage companies actually don't even give a s*** if you lie or do whatever because they like to pay eight or nine bucks an hour and they like to have garbage people work for those salaries while they collect hundreds of grand a year to do s*** it's disgusting it's all based on slavery and you're getting what you pay for they pretend to work while the corporation pretends to pay them. |
