Small bulldozer cat on the way to the rescue to plow me out....
The snow is heavy and wet so if you don't plow every time it snows you get into trouble fast and of course I work out of town so cant make sure its being kept up...
Then you come home to a snownado and have to make trail to get into your own house....Hip deep...and a 1/4 mile of it...2 hours later...dark out and wet because its raining as well...
now just imagine a total power down grid in the winter...guess a person better have everything they need already because you may not get another chance...till spring time...to get anywhere....even to the neighbors....
Grader plowed in the entrance to the driveway as well leaving behind a 4x6 foot wall of cement like snow....
oh the joys.....

Winter grid down for any length of time will kill people fast. I came home to lots of supplies and a wood stove and lots of wood...I could have lasted all winter BUT...Lower on animal feed than I would have liked so guess what I am doing soon as I am plowed out... lesson learned....and point taken....3 more months till spring....
