The idea of food not being fit for human consumption is not a new thing. Monsanto, the chemical corporation, became a corporation just over a century ago. Today people might protest and ban toxic substances found in food. There is arsenic in chicken and rice, sulfur in cruciferou vegetables, toxin iron in legumes and potatoes, toxic minerals in drinkable water (though it is Sweet water of levulose that is meant to be consumed by concious organisms), every product we have seen is toxic and imperfect, some more than others.

Back in 2015, while I was living in Bakersfield, I noticed a Wikipedia page listing substances to be ban by 2016, during the Obama administaration. It seemed unethical give to a scheduled date to ban substances that people protested against.
