But Polish holidays are not popular in the USA, unlike St. Patrick's Day. Well Irish are friendly social people, especially in the pub. Polish people in my experience stick to their own little polish crowds, are cheap, and overall not that well liked by Americans because they do not integrate into society. Hell I have friends who their parents came from Poland over 30 years ago and they still don't speak a lick of English. Just stay in their polish hood, only go to Polish businesses, etc.. The Feast of Corpus Christi is a Latin Rite liturgical solemnity celebrating the tradition and belief in the body and blood of Jesus Christ and his Real Presence in the Eucharist. This holiday is a huge manifestation of faith that takes place in every city, every town and every village. By tradition, people take part in a procession through the streets of their city, town or village following Mass and they pray and sing. Little girls drop flower petals on the streets. The Eucharist, known as the Blessed Sacrament, is placed in a monstrance and is held aloft by a member of the clergy during the procession. After the procession, parishioners return to the Church where benediction usually takes place. Millions of people take part in the processions that day.
