ishq
in classical Persian, literally means 'love', 'agape'. The word is derived from ‘ashiqah, a vine:

the common belief is that when love takes its root in the heart of a lover, everything other than god is effaced.

The term "Ishq" is excessively used by sufis in their poetry and literature to describe their selfless and 'burning love for the creation and Creator'.

It is the core concept as it is the key to the connection between man and God. Ishq itself is the basis of 'creation'.

To me, seems bias in meaning. To not be comfortable in this world is actually truly living because things become exciting and new rather than stagnant safety of living in echoes of past steps of predictability. He still clings to the teaching of matter is evil because it is transient time invariant. When people cling to matter that changes constantly they suffer.

On topic of death and mind

Many people will look at something that was once beautiful and growing and be saddened it’s passed.
That makes no sense.
People never really grasp that nothing lasts.

Impermanence.
One of the reasons people are unhappy is the realization people tend to cling/covet things that don’t last. When one understands nothing lasts then happiness won’t be based on never lasting things.
As soon as it fades, they become unhappy.
All one really has is the now.

Purpose

None of those can be found outside of oneself.

That is how man and society has trained their future ancestors to find them outside of self. All the time it is inside of us. So much unhappiness in the world because people lie and lie to the young and impressionable.

These riches are not outside.
