Australia's north prepares for the worst as two cyclones approach

"Two cyclones approaching Australia's northern coast have forced residents in both Western Australia and the Northern Territory to evacuate.
Tropical Cyclone Trevor, the size of the state of Victoria, touched down on the Northern Territory coast Saturday morning.
Upgraded overnight to a category four cyclone, Trevor is travelling across the ground slowly at 19kmh with winds near the centre of 175kmh and wind gusts to 250kmh......
In Western Australia, Pilbara residents are evacuating and sandbagging homes in the path of Tropical Cyclone Veronica.
Predicted to cross the coast late Saturday or Sunday morning, the cyclone is likely to generate destructive wind gusts reaching 165km/h, waves up to 4 metres and potentially catastrophic flooding in Port Hedland in northern WA.
Its arrival is likely to coincide with some of highest natural tides of the year and waves may be up to 4 metres on top of the existing tide level." From:
