Good time to buy Boeing
Sure it’s in a bit of trouble with one production line 737 Max, but it has 100’s of other contracts, planes, spacecraft etc.. No real competitors either. Great time to make some cash. Sure it is volatile may go lower still but in a year or so it could return to $450 very easily.

$$$ opportunity.

Wish I had more cash to through at it.

Agreed. They have a massive backlog of orders from China. 10 million Chinese took their 1st plane flight EVER last year. There's like 1 billion more that haven't taken a flight yet.
think about that.....

Re: Good time to buy Boeing
What kind of company would include a system that automatically takes control over an airplane based on a reading from a sensor? They didn't even consider the case of the sensor being faulty? And then they made it complicated to disable the system? They should have disabled their MCAS system by default, thats just common sense, or not included it at all.

Obviously that isn't a very smart company. Something fishy is going on in that company that is preventing them from making obvious decisions. They should have fixed the MCAS issues after the first LION Air crash but didn't. All they had to do was send out an update to disable the system permanently.

Who in their right mind would buy stock in a company that has just been directly responsible for the deaths of hundreds of people??

True this.

Aviation is only a small part of Boeing.

They have space applications, military applications, AI applications, secret stuff.

Lots we don't know about.

737MAX is only the visible part of a yuuuuge iceberg.

Re: Good time to buy Boeing
Your right op. But its to early to buy in now. There too much controversy about the company. The rumor mill is saying more contracts could be pulled. For the most part its all rumor but that's how the market works. Buy on rumor sell on fact. Wait till the facts are about to come out on contracts being pulled.

The stock is going to go up and down until the software is corrected but in the mean time I would wait till the stock goes down more then buy. Remember the software has to be flight tested and verified. Then the F.A.A. has to verify. Then the customers have to be convinces of the new software reliability. Any hick-up in the mean time could drive the stock down further than what it is now.

Pure speculation on my part. I'm not a stock manager or anything. I use to work for Boeing for 33 and now retired. I've always kept my 401K in Boeing and watched it like a hawk.
