Should the annual memorial commemorating Christ's death be simple or complex and ritualistic?

Yaqui easter lasts 7 weeks and gets over on easter sunday. There is a whole story, dances, defeating the evil ones with flowers and jesus return. Some is solemn, some joyful, some heard, some participation, some watched like the deer dancers. A little bit of everything.
This is one of those "I preacheth the lord rightly yea and am a big closet joeph smith" threads where azzholes like to argue about bible and crowd control, so i just let the "lobbyists" enjoy picking at each other.

19 Even after the Memorial meal is no longer observed, we can be sure that Jehovah’s people will fondly remember this simple meal as a symbol of the greatest humility, courage, and love ever shown by a human. At that time, those who observed this extraordinary meal will no doubt tell about it for the good of all then living. But to benefit right now from this meal, we must be determined to imitate Jesus’ humility, courage, and love. If we do, we can be confident that we will receive our reward from Jehovah.—2 Pet. 1:10, 11.

"So Jesus said again: “Most truly I say to you, I am the door for the sheep. 8All those who have come in place of me are thieves and plunderers; but the sheep have not listened to them. I am the door; whoever enters through me will be saved, and that one will go in and out and find pasturage. 10;The thief does not come unless it is to steal and slay and destroy. I have come that they may have life and have it in abundance.I am the fine shepherd; the fine shepherd surrenders his life in behalf of the sheep. 12 The hired man, who is not a shepherd and to whom the sheep do not belong, sees the wolf coming and abandons the sheep and flees—and the wolf snatches them and scatters them— 13;because he is a hired man and does not care for the sheep. I am the fine shepherd. I know my sheep and my sheep know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I surrender my life in behalf of the sheep." Jo10:7

HOW WOULD YOU ANSWER?

What does the Memorial meal teach us about Jesus’ outstanding humility?

How did Jesus display immense courage just after instituting the Lord’s Evening Meal?

In what way did Jesus show exceptional love by this simple arrangement?

As long as people continue to sin, and that's all of us, there's no point in celebrating Christ's death/resurrection.

It's an insult to his suffering, really, if you think about it.

Horrific.

That said, Easter is really Ishtar...pagan fertility goddess day. You want to celebrate Spring Equinox go impregnate someone.

He didn't say celebrate his death, rather commemorate it because it makes forgiveness possible for all who aspire to emulate his virtues. Yes Easter is totally pagan and insults his resurrection, good call.
